Use the Table of Contents at the top of the main page to navigate through the categories or scroll through at your leisure. Due to popular demand, Librarian Chick now has a Category Breakdown page so you can see the contents of each category separately. Though many of these resources could be listed under multiple categories, you'll notice that I've only added them here once. Just CTRL+Click on the links to open in new tabs and you'll never open the same page twice!

Wow, that's quite a list! Are you sure it's all free?

All of the sites listed here provide free resources or offer free memberships/subscriptions. The information, books, and lectures are usually free for you to download and use, but in some cases, copyright restrictions may apply so please make to sure find out before redistributing. Some sites offer a list of material for sale AND a list of free resources. In such cases, I have tried to make sure to link to the directory of free goods. Let me emphasize that you should read all of the information provided by the developer in regards to usage and distribution rights.

How do you find all this great free stuff?

For nearly 12 years I've reviewed software and websites for Tucows. From time to time, an author or web developer asks me to review a free product that really rocks and I want to let everyone know about it! Because I'm also a mother and an info junkie, I'm always on the look out for great learning resources. Since I spend a lot of time researching and categorizing information online, Librarian Chick started as a personal resource. I needed a way to keep track of my favorite resources and share them with my daughters. Turns out, the wiki format is a pretty efficient way to share all these fantastic free educational tools with all of you info junkies as well! If you appreciate this list of resources, it's likely that your friends, classmates, and socially-networked pals will too, so won't you please help spread the word?

How do I get my free software, resource or online service listed on Librarian Chick?

If you are a developer and you would like me to add your site or resource, please contact me by writing to this address with "Librarian Chick Submission" in the subject line. Make sure you include the name of your site or product, a link to your homepage, and a brief description of its features.

Can I help make changes and updates by administrating Librarian Chick?

Not at this time, sorry. I want to make sure that this collection retains its integrity and remains spam-free. Unfortunately, that means I must chose administrators carefully or do it myself. If you have any suggestions or know of some great free resources that aren't on this list, feel free to drop me a line. I'd love to hear from you!

How can I report a broken link or incorrect information?

I'll try to keep this list updated on a regular basis, but from time to time, a business goes under or a site changes domain names. Sometimes they will decide to charge for resources that were once offered for free. If you detect an error in the information presented here or discover a broken link, please send me an email!

How can I get involved?

So, you say you wanna help out... that's because YOU are AWESOME!
